Card Reveal Season: Shadows of the Deep

Shadows of the Deep is the Jaws pack: seventeen cards in one preview, only five of which we had catalogued before this pass, and the second-widest reveal on the site after the Dracula pack's nineteen.

The monster card is Jaws, Scourge of Amity Island. The new minions are Barracuda, Giant Octopus, Killer Whale, Larry Vaughn, Man O' War, Ravenous Predator, Roughtail Stingray, Shark Spotter, Threat from Below and Veteran Harpooner, on top of the previously revealed Deputy Hendricks and Rogue Shark. The new events are A Panic on Our Hands and Shark in the Pond, on top of the previously revealed Narrow Escape. The Orca, already catalogued as well, is the only asset in the pack.

Coverage of this pack is where the Leader comparison started: a two-sided card the whole deck is built around. That is press and player framing rather than an official rules statement, and we label it that way on our Lurking vs Unleashed page, but it does line up with how the official material describes the Monster card type.

What we cannot tell you yet: full stats and rules text for the twelve newly named cards. Five cards from this pack - Jaws, Deputy Hendricks, the Orca, Narrow Escape and Rogue Shark - are transcribed in the database and collected on the Jaws page. The rest are logged in our card backlog and will be added, with this page updated to match, as we work through them.
