Card Reveal Season: The Rider Returns

The Rider Returns is the reveal that most clearly shows the license pool running past the studios named at announcement. The card art carries a Paramount copyright line, and the pack includes Lady Van Tassel, which places the character in the 1999 Sleepy Hollow film rather than in Universal's own catalog.

Mechanically it is the most interesting monster card transcribed so far. The two faces do not just carry different numbers: the Unleashed side gains the Slasher trait and prints a different scheme value, which is the first hard evidence that a flip changes what a monster is, not only how hard it hits.
